So Just what Exactly is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is the process whereby you become deeply or lightly relaxed, guided by words, phrases, suggestions and imagination. Relaxation is often one of the most important ways that we work with a client to help them. There are, a host of techniques that can be used to help clients find alternatives to their undesired way of thinking, feeling or behaving and can promote personal development and unlock inner potential. All techniques have been proven useful, though as some people respond better than others, we tend to blend them to do our best to ensure rapid, positive results. Your subconscious mind is immensely powerful and very capable of change.
Hypnotherapy for positive change
Hypnotherapy is a very effective means of bringing about the changes you want to. While in hypnosis you address the subconscious mind, which is the part which allows us to perform day to day tasks without thinking about it (for example breathing or digestion) and so is a powerful tool to use to make changes in our life. With hypnotherapy your subconscious mind becomes very responsive to all highly positive and beneficial ideas and suggestions when they are delivered well, essentially becoming re-educated at a deep level.
Under hypnosis you are not asleep and you will only accept and intergrate changes that are appropriate for you, whether mentally, physically, spiritually or emotionally. You are aware of what is happening, remain in control of the situation and are able to simply terminate the session at any time.
